Having been born into a family full of home cooks and professional chefs, Christian’s love of cooking and barbecue is wholeheartedly inspired by his childhood. Having moved from Arizona to Colorado, then to California and back to Colorado, he was exposed to a variety of Southwest flavors that shine through in his cooking and favorite foods. Growing up, you could always find him in the kitchen helping his family prepare meals or cooking with his dad at barbecue competitions.

His culinary centric upbringing fostered a love of food and cooking that has since followed him into adulthood. You can still find him in the kitchen, but now with his fiancé. As two fellow food lovers, they both enjoy spending time together by cooking or visiting new restaurants (and watching lots of Star Wars).



Christian is also a USMC veteran, aspiring pistol instructor, and craft beer lover. When he’s not cooking or assisting the fine patrons of Proud Souls, you could find him on the range, brewing beer, or eating tacos.
